I have 8 allies including Austria, the Commonwealth and Hungary - it eats up diplomatic points but nobody declares war on me and the game is much easier. I was lucky because Hungary along with my many smaller allies constantly ganged up on the Ottomans and we quickly dismantled them without difficulty.
Frankly you need a lucky start and should restart often until you manage to get an alliance with Hungary due to them rivalling Ottomans.ĭestroy the fortress in Morea, you don't need it.īuild your army to the force limit, and keep it on the lowest funding (until war obviously).īuild galleys non-stop, beyond your force limit.Īlly every minor nation you can, Theodoro, Candar, Trebizond, Georgia etc.ĭon't worry about going into a lot of debt during war with Ottomans, when you win you can demand more than enough money to pay it off afterwards. After a dozen or so attempts over the years I'm finally doing well with Byzantium.
